Privacy Policy

Last updated November 7, 2026

This policy explains how Happiour ("we") handles information in the Happiour iOS app and on this website. The short version: Happiour has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics tracking, and we don't sell your information.

Information the app uses

Your location

If you allow it, the app reads your location while you're using it, so it can show deals near you. The app rounds your coordinates to about 100 meters and sends them to our server with your search. We use them to find and sort nearby deals. We don't save them in our database or use them to build a history of where you've been. The app doesn't ask for location access in the background.

Location is optional. You can decline, or turn it off at any time in your iPhone's Settings, and choose a city in the app instead.

Your searches and filters

To load deals, the app sends our server the city, cuisine, and deal type you've selected. These requests aren't tied to an account or a name. Text you type into the search box is used on your device to filter results that have already loaded.

Saved spots and preferences

Your saved restaurants and whether you've completed the welcome screens are stored only on your device. We can't see them. You can remove a saved spot in the app, and deleting the app removes this data.

Technical information

Like any internet service, our server receives technical details with each request, such as your IP address, device and network details, and the requested address, which can include the rounded coordinates described above. Our hosting provider may keep these in short-lived operational logs, which we use to keep the service secure and fix problems. We don't use them to identify you or to track you across other apps and websites.

Information Apple provides

Apple may give us statistics about App Store downloads and, if you've agreed to share them with developers, crash reports. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.

Services that receive information

Some actions take you to another service, and that service's privacy policy applies from there. For example, Directions opens a maps app, Website opens the restaurant or listing page, and Share opens the share sheet on your device.

What we don't do

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or if it's needed to protect the safety or rights of people or the service.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, or advertising. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the site. If you email us, we use your message and address to reply.

How long we keep information

Data on your device stays there until you remove it or delete the app. Operational logs are kept only for a limited time and then deleted. We keep emails for as long as we need them to handle your request.

Your choices and rights

You can turn off location access, remove saved spots, or delete the app at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to appeal a decision about a request. Because the app has no accounts, we usually can't link server records to a specific person. To make a request, email us at contact@happiour.shakicode.com.

Children

Happiour is intended for adults and includes listings for alcohol. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Security and location of data

The app connects to our server over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect in order to limit the risk. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page and its date when this policy changes. If a change is significant, we'll also give notice in the app or on this website.
